There's always lots to do at Cloverdale. And lots gets done by caring and involved members who do little things on their own, without even asking for Gatekeeper credit. If Gatekeeping isn't your thing, keep reading to see if any of these jobs/tasks interest you.
Earn one hour towards your refund per cleaning session. If it takes longer, let us know so we give you the proper credit.
And we won't lie to you. Sometimes the restrooms can be left in poor condition, especially after a busy day. Most times, it is just restocking the toilet paper, emptying waste paper baskets on Tuesdays (trash night), wiping down the sinks and sweeping. Above all, reporting any restroom related problems to a Board Member.
This will require some training, but easy to learn. You will report directly to the Pool Manager so there is no duplication of work, and chlorine level results are recorded on our spreadsheet. If you become an asset to Cloverdale, we can discuss a partial refund of your Membership fee at the end of the swim season.
Earn one hour towards your refund per garbage day by taking the trash out on Tuesday Nights, and bring cans back in on Wednesday. Please coordinate with the President so 15 of you don't show up on the same night. Actually, that would be funny to watch.
Seriously though, just know that is a huge help. And if there is ever a p4roblem on trash night with off street parking and no space for the cans, just call Noe Longoria and some phone calls will get the cars moved.
Level 2 Projects
Your choice. Yard waste bins are provided. Work for one hour or work four. If you know other members who want to help out, and you want to work as a team, more hands make for less work. Use your own hand tools.
And if you are real ambitious, contact Noe Longoria for some power tools. Even a rototiller or two.
We will open the clubhouse soon. Two hours credit per session. things tend to get disorganized very quickly.
Depending on the project, you can earn up to four hours credit, Things break or need repair. If you see something and have the tools to complete the task or repair, let us know first as we may have already purchased the parts.

We have a mower, edger and blower for you to use. Very light training involved. Actually, the only training to know is when blowing inside the club, avoid blowing lawn clippings into the pool.

We need to paint the walls first (separate project), but those floors need sanding, other prep work, and several fresh coats of concrete floor paint or epoxy. If you have worked with floor epoxy before, we want to hear from you.

We do this project in stages during the regular season. So it doesn't impact the membership, it will have to be one "Closed for Repairs" restroom at a time.
This project is not to be confused with the work party (see above). This one is inside the property and is a simple low depth clean-out install.

If you have a back hoe, or access to one (and can operate it) this job could be completed in less than a day and a huge win for you as you either earn a (free) membership next year or receive a 100% refund on your 2022 membership fee. Or we can negotiate the terms.
